Hometown: North Vancouver, BC
Bella Caswell is a 16-year-old Downhill, Freeride and Enduro mountain biker from North Vancouver, BC. This will be Bella’s third year in Ride Like A Girl. Two years ago Bella was matched with professional rider Isabelle Deguise where they focused on all kinds of riding and practicing technical terrain and hard features. Last year she was matched with professional rider Andréane Nadeau and they worked on racer mentality and getting over injuries! This year Bella has been matched with professional rider and coach Jaime Hill, and she is so stoked to start riding with her! Her dream is to one-day race all around the world in the UCI Mountain Bike Downhill World Cup representing her country and hopefully inspiring others to ride. Bella will be racing in the BC and Canada Cup Downhill races, Enduro races, Crankworx, local Fiver/toonie events and other fun races along the way.
Some highlights from her race season last year was becoming Provincial and National Champion for downhill and getting the overall tittle in the U15 category for BC/Canada Downhill Cups! She also got “Queen of the Dam” in the Kamloops River Beaver Classic in the U21 category and she achieved this by getting first in Downhill, Enduro and second in Dual Slalom. Bella also volunteer bike coaches with Escape Adventures and does local trail maintenance days to give back to the mountain bike community. She is also sponsored by Troy Lee Designs and is supported by Kona Bikes and SRAM! She looks forward to this mountain bike year and many more to come!
