Former Triathlete

Holly was initially drawn to cycling at the age of 8 when she competed in her first triathlon. Throughout 11 years of racing triathlon, Holly’s love for the bike segment of the race grew and led her to form new goals focused exclusively to bike racing. She made the switch of focus to cycling at 19 years old after a solid end to her Junior Elite Triathlon racing experience. As a triathlete, Holly competed in many international races including the Junior Pan-American Championships, Xterra World Championships, and Junior Cross Triathlon World Championships. As a cyclist now, Holly hopes to reach and go beyond this same level of racing on the bike.  She now races on the road with Red Truck Racing Team, and also competes in cyclocross and XC mountain bike races. Holly lives in Victoria, BC, where she is known to be found riding up and down her favourite hill, the backside of Willis Point. When not riding, Holly currently works as a TA for two genetics labs at UVic. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Neurobiology and Psychology at UVic in the spring of 2020. Holly plans to work towards her goals on the bike for now and then to apply for medical school in the future.
