Hometown: Comox, BC
Jade is 17 years old and lives in the Comox Valley. She loves riding her bike on her own or with her friends in Cumberland BC. She started riding more seriously 2 years ago and was instantly drawn by the sense of community and how fun biking is. She loves discovering new places to ride her bike and going on mini adventures around her region. She has some enduro and cyclocross racing experience and is wanting to gain much more in the years to come.
This year she is hoping to have the opportunity to race some XC, enduro and cyclocross. She will be racing for the Gravity MTB down-country team with other girls living in her region. This is Jade’s 2nd year with Ride Like a Girl. Last season she was paired with the young and talented Emilly Johnston and had the opportunity to see hands-on what it takes to become a high level athlete. She has big dreams to become one herself someday.
This year she is paired with Tanya Allen and wants to improve her speed on descents, ride bigger drops/jumps and learn how to climb technical trails. When not riding with her friends or on her own on the trails, Jade enjoys rock climbing, spending time outside and coaching the next generation of shredders in the Comox Valley for Gravity MTB!
