Kelly grew up on Vancouver Island and was introduced to mountain biking in the late 90’s. She quickly fell in love with the sport and became extremely passionate about cycling of all disciplines. She raced competitively in Island Cup and B.C. Cup Downhill/Dual Slalom from 2003-2006 and has since raced XC, enduro, multi-sport adventure and cyclocross races. If she had to choose a favourite it would definitely be the enduro format and she loved her last big race experience at the ‘Hot on Your Heels’ women’s only enduro in Squamish (2019).
Kelly is excited to be a mentor for the Ride Like a Girl program and is looking forward to shredding and sharing her love for speed with a developing athlete. She is happy to see how many more females have embraced mountain biking and enjoys watching how fast the younger cyclists are developing.
When not riding her bike for fun she is riding her bike for work. Kelly recently became a co-owner of a busy bicycle courier business and spends a couple days a week on her courier bike. Her other interests include playing ice hockey, making jewelry and adventuring with family and friends.
