Kirsten grew up racing triathlons on Vancouver Island. She was driven and passionate about racing from a very young age, competing in her first triathlon at 6 years old! From then on she went on to win Junior national championships, Junior World Championships along with a handful of World Cup wins and podiums. She competed in her first multisport games at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games where she claimed the silver medal. She ended her career participating in the Rio Olympic Games.
After her triathlon career ended, she spent a few months riding with and getting to know the National XC team in Victoria. She developed a love for mountain biking and now enjoys playing on the trails of Squamish and the Whistler bike park while working as a Registered Massage Therapist. She received so much support from her community during her time as an athlete and welcomes the opportunity to give back with efforts such as the Ride Like a Girl program!
