Melanie McQuaid is a professional triathlon and mountain bike athlete based in Victoria, BC.  Melanie has qualified and competed as a pro athlete in four disciplines of endurance sport.  She has been to the World Championships for cycling at UCI mountain bike cross country and UCI road cycling and for triathlon at  XTERRA World Championship, ITU Multisport World Championships for Long Course and Cross Triathlon and Ironman 70.3 World Championships.  She has competed at the World Championship level 25 times and counting with five wins in the offroad discipline of triathlon in 2003/2005/2006/2017.  In 20+years of racing she holds titles in mountain bike endurance, cross country and short track; road cycling criterium and stage racing; sprint, standard and half distance Ironman triathlon; and off road XTERRA and ITU Cross Triathlon. 
 For 2019, her focus is balancing racing professionally with helping others achieve their dreams in the MelRad Racing Squad
 Melanie has a degree in Chemistry from University of Victoria with a minor in Biochemistry.  She has completed her Comp Intro NCCP levels in Triathlon and Level One Cycling as well as PMBIA Level One Instruction.  Her manuals and wheelies are still a work in progress.
