Ella Myers
Athlete match: Sage Nicholls
Hi, I’m Ella! I’m 22 years old and was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta. I was introduced to mountain biking at a young age by my dad, and by 12, I was racing cross-country at my local Trailblazers series. From the very beginning, I fell in love with the sport and the thrill of racing.
Through my U17 and Junior years, I competed in the Canada Cup series, which opened the door to travel and bigger race experiences. In my first year as a Junior, I had my first international race experience in Europe at the UCI Mountain Bike World Championships this was where I discovered my desire to compete and perform at the highest level of the sport.
After completing my Business diploma at SAIT in 2024, I moved to Victoria, BC to train and race year-round. I currently race for Gravity Collective and spent this past season competing in both domestic events and international U23 World Cups. A major highlight from this year was representing Canada at the UCI Mountain Bike World Championships and building new friendships while traveling and racing around the world.
Mentorship has played a meaningful role in my journey. I’ve been fortunate to have incredible mentors who have supported me through challenges and new opportunities, and I’ve also had the privilege of mentoring young riders myself. These experiences have shaped not only the athlete I am today, but the person I continue to grow into.
I’m so excited to mentor with RLG in 2026 and to support the next generation of young girls to build confidence, resilience, and a love for the sport that lasts far beyond the finish line.
Is there anything in this upcoming season you are especially excited about?
I’m really looking forward to doing more mentorship both with RLG and Gravity Collective. I’m also excited to see what I can accomplish in my final season as a U23 rider.
