Hannah Simms
Athlete match: Maille MacPherson
Hannah is an endurance mountain bike and gravel racer currently based in Victoria, BC. She grew up racing cross-country mountain bikes in Ontario and, after dabbling in everything from BMX to road cycling, has always found her way back to off-road disciplines for their combo of endurance and adventure.
She has raced around the world, from her backyard in BC to international stages; winning TransRockies Singletrack 6, competing at her first Gravel World Championships in the Netherlands, and finishing 5th at Cape Epic alongside her dad in the Mixed category.
Hannah currently races for Kona Bicycles as part of the Easton Overland Off-Road Team.
Off the bike, it’s still all about bikes. She works as an event organizer and marketing director for the Anything Goes Event Series.
Is there anything in this upcoming season you are especially excited about?
1. I’m really excited to be a Ride Like a Girl Mentor!
2. I am really excited to race BC Bike Race again! It’s some of my favourite riding and the last 7 day edition!
