Enduro

Athlete match: Mila Jones

My name is Julz. I started riding during Covid to keep myself and my dog entertained and active. I quickly fell in love with the sport. It’s been fouryears since I got my first full-suspension mountain bike and I have never looked back. My first race was the Murderhorn Maiden that NMBC hosts each year. I loved the intensity, the atmosphere, and the effort required to ride an enduro race. I signed up for the Island Cup Series in the sport category the next year, and found myself at the top of the overall podium. I took first place in the expert category the following year. Although I am not the fastest rider, I am stubborn and determined. I was the only one to complete all of the races in the series - giving me the points I needed to win. You can usually find me sessioning drops and jumps or riding bike park in the summer. I’m always up for a challenge and love progression, especially with friends.

Is there anything in this upcoming season you are especially excited about?
More and more progression. Hoping to spend more days at Whistler and Mount Washington bike parks. This summer I just want to focus on having fun and letting the rest follow.
