Sandra is a pro-elite XC racer that competes at the national and World Cup level. Sandra got hooked on mountain biking in high school. The personal challenge, pushing limits, and being out in nature with friends originally drew her to the sport and continue to drive her two-wheeled passion today. Racing has given her opportunities to travel around the globe, meet inspiring people, strive to be her best, and share her experiences with others. She has been competing at the highest level for over two decades and is eager to encourage more girls and women to discover the fun of racing!
Sandra rides for CABTECH Racing Team and has been a member of the Canadian National Team at 16 World Championships. Sandra is the founder of Girls' Ride Club -- a free program that offers low-barrier social mountain bike rides for girls and young women in her community.
She is also a professional writer and has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Victoria with a Major in Non-Fiction Writing and a Minor in Professional Writing.

Is there anything in this upcoming season you are especially excited about?
I'm really excited to connect with my new mentee, Paige, this season. I already know Paige through Girls' Ride Club and local cycling events in the community, and I'm looking forward to helping her with her goals. I'm especially keen to learn from her as well, because she is a very skilled rider!
